Centerville Featured Business - Delzer Chiropractic

As economic development coordinator, I believe a large part of my job deals with business retention and expansion. As a result, I plan on writing columns promoting the businesses of Centerville. This is the first of my business reports with the hopes of eventually interviewing and writing stories on all of our community’s businesses.

The business I visited with this past month is Delzer Chiropractic. Dr. Justin Delzer and his wife Jeanne moved to Centerville almost three years ago. Justin was originally from Mobridge, South Dakota and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2003.

Justin began his chiropractic career in Centerville because he wanted to get back to South Dakota. His brother lived in Sioux Falls at the time and later moved to Centerville. Jeanne teaches English at Alcester. Centerville had a building available, formerly Bob’s Shoe Store, that he was able to adapt to a functional and very attractive chiropractic clinic. He was also able to find a home to purchase here.

The doctor of chiropractic is specially trained to analyze the spinal column and structural system for vertebra subluxation. Subluxation is when a segment of the spinal column becomes locked up. The chiropractor finds the segments that are locked up and puts motion back into that section. That motion keeps structures like discs and bones from wearing out prematurely. Chiropractic is more than just the removal of nerve interference. Adjusting the spine does several different things. It keeps the spine healthy, keeps the nervous system healthy, which in turn keeps the entire body healthy. Chiropractic is preventative care. It makes sure everything is moving properly. Even if you don’t have back pain or neck problems something could be developing. You can tell with a treatment if there is an area of potential problem.

In addition to treating back and neck pain the doctor of chiropractic achieves results in treating headaches, acid reflux, sinus problems, fibromyalgia, leg and shoulder pain, along with a number of other symptoms.

Chiropractic care is usually covered by health insurance and Delzer Chiropractic accepts every major health insurance provider.
